Aiyyaa marks the
entry of Prithviraj in Bollywood. The film has Rani Mukherji as the female
lead. This Anurag Kashyap production has been directed by Marathi filmmaker
Sachin Kundalkar.
The
song ‘Dream um…’ from the film is a big hit and there is tremendous buzz
surrounding the film. Will Prithviraj make a mark in Bollywood? Let’s keep our
fingers crossed for now.
Prithviraj says that “Aiyyaa is an adventurous, unusual, crazy sort of a love story.” There have been reports that Rani was so impressed by her southern costar that she recommended him for an important role in Yashraj Films’ forthcoming movie, Aurangzeb.
According to Prithviraj, “if Quentin Tarantino were to make
a romantic comedy, it would perhaps be like Aiyyaa.”
