Salim Ahmad to direct Mammootty

Salim Ahmad, the director of the much-appreciated Adaminte Makan Abu, has announced his new project titled Kunjananthante Kada. Mammootty plays the lead in the film.

The story has Mammootty playing a grocery store owner, who is having troubles in his married life. According to certain sources, the makers of the film had approached Bollywood heroine and Malayali girl Vidya Balan to play Mammootty’s wife in the movie. But it is learnt that she hasn’t given the nod for the project as yet. But the efforts are still on to have her in the film.

Oscar winning sound designer Resul Pookkutty and eminent cinematographer Madhu Ambat will be part of the film’s crew.
